Guide to a Delicious Lunch

Your stomach is growling as the clock slowly ticks toward noon. Thoughts of what you could eat or of what you brought for lunch linger in your brain as you work your way through the papers on your desk. At last! You head to lunch and pull your lunch bag out of the refrigerator or you go to the nearest, quickest fast-food place.

Whether you pack a sandwich, chips, vegetables, fruit and a sweet dessert or you go to the fast-food joint in the next block and order a filling burger with fries and a soda, your lunch should fill you up without adding too much sodium, cholesterol, sugar or fat. Granted, you don’t have much time to eat--but this is no excuse. You can order a salad, healthy dessert and a bottle of water just as easily as you order the fattiest, most calorie-laden offering on the menu board. If you prefer, you can make up a salad the night before, toss in some low-calorie cookies and a piece of fruit and carry this to work. This Lunch Guide shows you everything you need to know about making healthy choices for your lunch and it gives you some ideas for making or buying your lunch.

Make wise choices for a delicious lunch.
