Hotmail - Now Called Windows Live Mail

Hotmail email was created as a free email service by Microsoft, quite some years ago. It has been reincarnated under the name Windows LiveHotmail logos from Windows Live Mail, although your email address still ends in @hotmail.com, and it is still a free email service. Through Windows Live, the Hotmail email sign in is integrated with the other Windows Live services, giving you a single name and identity to use with all the services. Bright Hub has a number of articles on how to use the different capabilities found in Hotmail, and how to connect Hotmail with your other email accounts.

Unlike the old version of MSN Hotmail, Microsoft does not formally restrict the space they give you. Instead, they say your email storage grows with your use, as you need it, as long as it is a normal growth rate. This is a bit nebulous, but better than being told that you have 2GB of space for your lifetime. You also do need to use your Hotmail account at least once every 270 days, according to Microsoft, so they know the account is still active. For more on how to get the most from your Hotmail account, including import your contacts, check out the selection of articles found in this Bright Hub Guide to Hotmail.
