Google's portfolio of web services spans a huge range, from the well known search engine, advertising ventures and email services through to automatic translation services, experimental projects like the now defunct Wave and web browsers.
Despite competition from Yahoo and Microsoft, Google remains the most popular internet search engine available today. Google's Chrome web browser is slowly gaining market share, and the range of Google Apps are, by some accounts, used by more people than Microsoft Office.
Google's also branching out into areas not traditionally associated wit the internet. They are creating a driverless car, and promoting the environment with a variety of initiatives like installing some of the largest solar panel arrays in the U.S.
