Guide to the Gaming Industry

In 1971 the gaming industry was born with the release of the first commercial video game, an arcade game called “Computer Space”. This game, along with the world's first two console systems, the Magnovox Odessey and the Atari, sparked peoples interest in video games and that interest has never waned. The gaming industry today employs over 50,000 people in North America alone and is a multi-billion dollar business. Since its inception the gaming business has had its share of ups and downs. Game programming studios are opening and closing all the time, but if you have the skills, the drive and a healthy love of gaming, then the gaming industry can provide a challenging and rewarding career
