
There are some basic food safety tips every home-chef should know, for example:
Eggs are known for carrying salmonella enteriditis, a serious intestinal infection. Foods and desserts made from raw eggs can place family and friends at risk of illness.
Pasteurized milk is much safer than raw milk because raw milk has not been heated to a temperature that kills bacteria that causes intestinal illnesses.
Keep chicken and beef at temperatures of 40 F or lower. Store seafood in the freezer or refrigerator until you are ready to prepare it. Cook it until it is fully done before serving it.
