College Credit Tips and Facts

“Graduation Thinker” by lumaxart/Wikimedia CommonsYes, you can earn college credit in a traditional, classroom setting, but there are other ways to do it as well! Earning college credit for life experience is a popular method of shaving off some time that the student spends sitting in a classroom. Of course, when the learner takes college credit courses online, s/he has the advantage of studying from the comfort of home. There are online choices for any class of interest, math courses, Spanish classes and even gifted student learning.

Online courses frequently follow the same rules as those taught at brick and mortar institutions. Some students take GRE exams for credit or rely on programs such as ALEKS to jumpstart their learning. In other cases those with a history of service in the armed forces find that military training qualifies for college credit.
