The infant with gently rounded limbs and cheeks doesn’t have to become the overweight or obese toddler. Your infant will let you know when she is full--babies are well-equipped with the ability to monitor how much they have had to eat and drink. When your baby is full and turns away from a plate of food, don’t push more on her.
When you feed on demand and your child stops when she is full, this is her way of maintaining a healthy food intake. Remember, her stomach is smaller than yours, so what looks like too little may be just right for her.
