One of the most popular board games, Chess, has its origin in the Indian board game called Chaturanga. It is best known for the strategies and tactics as the main objective is to checkmate the opponent’s king by following the rules of the game. While the game’s predecessor is the ancient Indian Chaturanga, the the present form of the game owes its origin to the 15th century European Chess.
With time, several chess programs were developed. One such program, Deep Blue defeated Grandmaster Gary Kasparov in 1997. Along with playing systems, there are also many chess apps for Android and Blackberry.
