Breakfast doesn’t have to be dull, boring and tasteless. To get your day off to the best possible start, you should try to eat something, even if it’s only a piece of fruit and some string cheese.
When you start your day with breakfast, you give your brain much-needed fuel so you can think and function in school or at work. Eating something before you leave the house in the morning also means that you’re not sabotaging your weight or your health. If you leave the house without eating anything, by lunch time, you’re ravenous, and you’ll overdo it.
Just pick something from several food groups, such as low-fat milk or yogurt, a veggie omelet and a cup of coffee and some juice. Blend fresh fruit, ice cubes and vanilla yogurt together for a fruit smoothie.
