Bioware is a multi-studio video game publisher and developer. Created in 1995 and headquartered in Canada, Bioware has become one of the most successful video game studios. It is now owned by Electronic Arts (EA), and has merged with online games publisher Mythic Entertainment (sometimes referred to as "Bioware Mythic"). The studio has received multiple awards for their business and for their games, including Spike TV's "Studio Of The Year" award in 2010.
Known for its role-playing games, Bioware's series include Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur's Gate, and Jade Empire.
Currently, the studio is developing Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age II, and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
