The Complete Guide to Active Server Pages

Microsoft logoASP, or Active Server Pages, is a server side scripting technology created by Microsoft to allow for the creation of dynamically generated web sites. ASP was provided as an add-on to Internet Information Services, or IIS, with the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack, and has been included with IIS since the release of Windows Server 2000.

ASP.NET is the most recent incarnation of the ASP technology, and is based on the .NET Framework.

This guide provides an introduction to Active Server Pages, details some of the advantages of using ASP, and provides a number of tutorials to demonstrate its use.
