As someone who tried out for the USAF, as well as being friends with several people in most military branches, the air force was one of those occupations that was interesting, but not to me. However, with the contributions pilots have done, there is still a lot of respect to be had.

An air force in the general term is usually a military formation of aircraft, which is formed in order to battle against or for a particularGuide to Air Force organization. Many countries around the world have their own separate air force, those some are incorporated within their army or navy. Not just restricted to that of air craft, an military's air force can also be in charge of communications, aerial warfare or pursuit, as well as space around military zones.

The United States Air Force is a recognizable air force, as is the British Royal Air Force, and the Royal Australian Air Force.
