Reasons to Use an All-Natural Deodorant

Lately, there has been considerable concern about the health risks of aluminum and other chemicals in deodorants and antiperspirants. Aluminum is absorbed through the skin of the underarm and into the lymph nodes. The aluminum then finds its way from the lymphatic system into the brain. Studies have indicated that a lifetime use of antiperspirants containing aluminum might be associated with a higher risk of Alzheimer’s disease and breast cancer. While many studies were inconclusive, I didn’t want to take an unnecessary risk with my health. I got rid of my old deodorant and bought Kiss My Face Active Enzyme natural deodorant instead.

Natural Deodorant Comparison

When I was making comparisons between the different natural deodorants on the shelves at Whole Foods, there were several factors I was concerned about. My first concern was the price of the natural deodorants, which ranged between $2.99 and $5.99. I wanted a natural deodorant from a major brand, since they usually can be counted on to produce quality products. The Kiss My Face natural deodorant products seemed to be moderately priced in comparison to the other natural deodorants. Also, I wanted a natural deodorant with a feminine scent. One thing that bothered me was that the name of the scent was not printed on the packaging of the natural deodorant. However, from the picture I guessed that it had a vanilla scent. Kiss My Face Active Enzyme natural deodorant contains no animal ingredients, aluminum or paraben. Other ingredients of Kiss My Face natural deodorant include baking soda and clay. I had purchased baking soda deodorant in the past and had been happy with it. Also, Kiss My Face claims that the vegetable-derived active enzymes will neutralize odors naturally.

How Kiss My Face All-Natural Deodorant Performed

When I used Kiss My Face Active Enzyme natural deodorant, I had mixed results. There were times when the deodorant seemed to keep me dry and odorless all day. There were other times when I felt that I smelled more than if I had used no deodorant at all. Kiss My Face Active Enzyme natural deodorant is unforgiving if you wait too long to put it on after showering. It also doesn’t last as long as other deodorants. It seems to have no antiperspirant qualities at all. This is definitely not a deodorant you’d want to wear to the office or to an important event.

The Verdict on Kiss My Face Natural Deodorant

However much I’d like to give Kiss My Face natural deodorant a good rating, I just can’t bring myself to do it. It’s failed me too many times to deserve a glowing review. A simple homemade mixture of baking soda and corn starch was more effective at keeping me odor free than Kiss My Face Active Enzyme natural deodorant. I often had to fall back on the homemade natural deodorant when the Kiss My Face deodorant wasn’t doing its job. The difficulties I experienced may be normal when using a natural deodorant, but I plan to try other natural deodorant products to see how they compare. If you go shopping for a natural deodorant, you may want to skip this one and try something else.
