The basis to a clean dog is its shampoo. Now, shampoos cost usually ten dollars or more, but not when you learn how to make your own. Because you will cut the cost completely, and no longer have to pay a pretty penny.
Dog Shampoo
Mix together:
5 tablespoons of Castille soap
1 cup of vinegar
1 cup of baking soda
2 tablespoons of fragrance
Now, bottle product and use on your dog. They will be clean and smell good.
Dog Conditioner
Mix together:
1 tablespoon of baby oil
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons of water
Store in a bottle in the refrigerator. Make sure to use it up within a few weeks or it will go bad. Unlike store bought conditioners, homemade will not have any preservatives.
Dog Hair Gel
Does your dog need hair gel? If so, just slick their hair back or up with plain water. In fact, if you need hair gel, you can use water also.
Dog Eye Wash
Does your dog need their eyes cleaned? Are they caked over with mucus or red and puff? If so, use this recipe to clean your dogs eyes. In fact, this recipe has one ingredient. What do you think it is?
The one ingredient is...Water. Buy distilled water, a medicine dropper, and use a bowl. Fill the bowl with a little bit of water, and use the medicine dropper to gather the water from the bowl. Hold your dogs head, and drop the water in a constant stream into your dog's eye. This is painless, quick and easy. Try it!
*Note: If your dog has continued eye irritation, you may want to consult a veterinarian.
Dog Ear Wash
Does your dog's ears stink? If so, try this.
Take half a cup of vinegar, and half a cup of water. Mix together then put into a squeeze bottle. Squeeze a small amount into your dogs ears and rub. Do not squeeze directly into the ear canal.
*Note: If your dog has ear irritation it may be sign of an infection and you should contact your veterinarian.
Dog Perfume
Does you dog like to primp? Does your dog like to smell good? Well, make them some dog perfume.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of purified water
Four tablespoons of an essential oil
Mix together, then pour into a spritz bottle. Use as needed.
