Bare Esenctuals’ bareMinerals collection is just that, 100% natural, pure minerals, free from talc, fragrances or preservatives.

The bareMinerals powder is actually a pretty decent product. It gives good coverage. Some people have complained about it being cakey, but I think that really depends on how much you layer it on. It’s got pretty good staying power too! Apparently you can go to sleep with this stuff on, although I’m a little leery about that! The only negative thing I might have to say about it is that the shades can be a little on the dark side. But if you’re tired of using foundation and want to go with a more natural product, this is well worth checking out.

I’ve always been concerned with natural products. Never more so than with lip products. After all, not only does it get absorbed by the skin, but just by licking my lips, I’m ingesting more of this product. Like the other products in the bareMinerals collection, it contains no preservatives and no artificial dyes. I tried the Rose Crepe and found it had a nice subtle color that lasted several hours. However the texture was quite drying, begging for a person to layer it with balm or lip gloss. It’s a decent enough lipstick, however, for the $15 price tag I would’ve preferred one with a much better texture.

Another area that concerns me is cosmetics near my eyes, so of course I had to try the bareMinerals eyecolor. Being preservative free, Bare Esenctuals states that this product is non-irritating and I can say that neither I, nor anyone else I’ve talked to about this product have had any problems with it. In fact, I really liked this product. It has a nice texture, had just the right color intensity and it lasted all day. What more can I ask for?
