There are three types of menstrual cups available for purchase across the world, The Diva Cup, The Keeper Cup and The Moon Cup. There isn’t too great of a difference between the three. The only difference being the materials used in making the cups.
In The Diva Cup the material used is a soft medical grade silicone, which has been approved by the FDA. The Diva Cup is latex free and hypoallergenic.
The Keeper Cup is made out of soft, natural gum rubber and is not recommended for those who are allergic to latex.
The Moon Cup is made out of the same out of soft, medical grade silicone. However, unlike The Diva Cup, The Moon Cup is not FDA approved. Many women prefer The Moon Cup, because of the ease of use when compared to the other two menstrual cups.
Reusable sanitary pads are an eco friendly option because you do not throw them away as quickly as you would with conventional disposable sanitary pads. Reusable pads are to be changed at the same frequency of regular disposable pads. For an even more eco friendly option, choose reusable sanitary pads made from organic undyed cotton. There are three types of reusable pads, day pads for an average flow, night pads for heavy flows and overnight use, and finally panty liners.
