new 2009 honda fitWhat would you call a car that gives a fitting reply to the big daddy SUVs and fuel-guzzling cars scooting all over the world? You call it Honda Fit. When launched in the year 2006, it came across as one of those cars that people can drive, feel like royalty and yet not pay a bomb for it. Honda’s strategy of never leaning towards V-8’s and huge truck-sized SUVs has worked out even better than it would have imagined.

When launched, in the year 2006, the Honda Fit was sporty, had a bit of class, had oozing glamour and was roomy, in spite of its diminutive size. It was acclaimed as one of the best launches ever. Well, there was still room for improvement and it showed up as 2009 Honda Fit.

Much larger (by about 13 ft) and hugely popular, all-new Honda Fit sells just as fast as one of those gizmos that sell off the apple store. Dealers over 100 odd countries barely keep the stock as they are unable to meet the avalanche of demand sweeping Honda’s profits higher, in the face of recession.

The body, looks and Styling

The stylish, new Honda Fit comes with refreshingly new additions galore. It looks much better than the erstwhile model. Its hood stoops into a beautiful v-shaped bulge that gives it a rounded feel, a spoiler sits atop the hatch and the Honda Fit immediately jumps right out at your visual area with its sporty looks. The new Fit also comes with a robust set of 16-inch alloy wheels and sports these cavernous air inlets. The exhaust tip has a chrome finish to it which gives it a rich look. The look immediately intensifies when you glance at those mesmerizing headlights that look like these pensive eyes -- broad slashes candidly staring back.

The 2009 Honda Fit score is at the top of the order when it comes to NVH and is inherently a safe vehicle by design, being able to handle whiplash injuries. It is engineering to sustain any possible head-on collision. A rather curvy, large windshield helps accentuate the sporty look and the visibility of the vehicle is improved with the emaciated slim-fit front- roof pillars.
