Free web based application to check plagiarism

Hi friends,

I have found an excellent free web based application to check for the plagiarism in your content. It is available at http://www.plagiarismdetect.com.

To use this tool all you have to do is just upload the file which is to be checked for plagiarism or copy the content from your file and past it in the text box. Click on the "Analyse" button and instantly you will be shown the results. At the top right corner you will shown the percentage of plagiarized content in your article.

Before you are able to check for plagiarism you must register on site, but don't worry it is absolutely free and takes less than a minute.

The application is highly intuitive, very easy to use and extremely fast.

If you find any free application or software on net do share with us.

Regards,

Haresh

There are also options of "Deep Analysis" and "Light Analysis." Apart from web you can also check PDF files, blogs and books.

Greetings from Colombia Haresh,

This is a great resource. I registered myself, then checked two articles. One article which I had just written and not yet published. The other article was one that I'd written and published about three years or so ago. I clicked on the option "Deep Search" for both articles in turn. The results seemed accurate enough. Zero instances of plagiarism were found for the unpublished article. The previously published article, on the other hand, was cited dozens of times as having been published wholly or in part. Even several of the exact sites were the published article appeared were referenced in detail including the publication date.

Thank you for this interesting article and valuable resource.

Sincerely,

Prof. Larry M. Lynch
