How to Manage Your favorite RSS Feeds Using AutoCAD 2009

AutoCAD 2009 comes with a stunning new look and many useful new features. It can act as a RSS reader for you. You will get the benefits of getting updates and reading your favorite RSS feeds while designing in AutoCAD 2009.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a way to announce the latest updates of a website to large numbers of interested people.

Most websites have RSS feeds nowadays. If one is interested in getting the updates of any RSS feed-enabled website, he has but to simply add the RSS link of the website to his RSS reader (which is sometimes also called an RSS aggregator or the RSS channels). Now whenever the website adds some new content, the RSS reader notifies the user with a short summary and link to the new content.

AutoCAD 2009 acts as a RSS reader or aggregator. You will add your favorite RSS feeds to AutoCAD 2009. It will notify the updates of the RSS feeds with links. You can remove the RSS feeds from AutoCAD 2009 as well.

AutoCAD 2009 has a button called Infocenter at the top right corner. Refer the snap below (click on the image to enlarge it):

• Notice the small downward arrow or triangle just beside the Infocenter button.
• Click on the arrow and you will get a pop up list, click on Search Settings there.
• You will get the Infocenter Settings window like one you are seeing in the snap.
• Go to RSS Feeds at the right side of the window.
• Now use Add or Remove buttons of the left side to add or remove the RSS Feeds links. And that’s it.

• Once you have added any RSS feeds link, you can see the updates of the feeds will flush out near the Infocenter button. By clicking the link there you can visit the site.

AutoCAD 2009 can acts as a RSS reader. You just simply need to add your favorite RSS feeds here and you will be continuously updated about the feeds in your AutoCAD 2009 interface, provided you are online.
