Saving wastage of heat of PRDS by installing Steam Turbo Generator or installation of VAM to increase power capacity
Sir,
We are going to revamp for capacity enhancement of our Vijaipur plant from 2620 MTPD of urea to 3030 MTPD of NFL. We have limitation of power by 3 MW. So, we have two options, one is to go for VAM by cooling of GTG inlet air cooling from 40 degrre to 25 degree & extra generation of 3.5 MW or use of let down of 100 ata to 40ata steam in PRDS by installing Steam turbo generator.
Please give the VAM calculation available with you & give your valuable suggetion.
Regards.

Vapour Absorption Refrigeration System
Hi Kartik, I don't really know about companies other than Thermax and Voltas that supply absorption systems. I think Thermax has developed expertise in this field. Haresh

Waste heat
Depends a lot on the amount of waste heat available and mode of heat transfer.

Power Plant
Hello Sir,
i m a Mechanical Engineer , i did a project "Power Generation By Means Of Weight Force" Sir It is a new idea and i make it's cycle as well.According to my cycle
concept " utilization of weight force, creating pressure energy, impinging on a hydraulic turbine thus rotating the shaft if coupled to the generator producing the electric current.
According to this defination i made it's animation and calculate power per unit weight.
i want ur suggestions

Vapor absorption system
Dear Sambasivarao, The idea is good, it can be used. But let me inform you that the companies providing vapor absorption refrigeration systems reommend their customers to use the steam produced in their plants to be used in vapor absorption system for heating the refrigerant mixture. This is because the heat content of the superheated steam is high. The steam present in the condenser is not superheated so it will transfer less amount of heat to the refirgerant in the vapor absorption system. Anyways, the concept proposed by you is possible though not feasible. It can be used on experimental basis or for demonstration, but it won't have much practical applications. Thanks, Haresh
