FINIS SwiMP3 v2 Waterproof MP3 Player The SwiMP3 is specifically designed to be attached to snorkeling masks or swim goggles. It features an unconventional shape that fits perfectly on the side of the user’s head, making it a comfortable attachment that does not interfere with the user’s movements. This shape also features a waterproof construction that prevents water from seeping in and wreaking havoc on the internal electronics. It comes with swimming goggles so you do not have to buy another pair, but it can work seamlessly with other kinds of goggles.

It delivers sound no through the air but through vibrations that are transmitted through the cheekbone and into the inner ear. This means the sound is clear and high quality even when submerged in water. This is a perfectly safe way of transmitting sound. This design has been used in hearing aide purposes for years so it is established as a safe form of sound transmission.

    Features

It is capable of playing WMA and MP3 files, which are the most common formats for casual music listening. It can store up to 256 MB worth of music files and that is about it for the features of this mp3 player. It has a pretty basic set of controls for volume, playback and shuffling songs. It is a pretty straightforward mp3 player so if that is not what you are looking for, this will probably not be your kind of device.

    Performance

    Rating Average

The SwiMP3 has a battery life of up to eight hours of playback in a single charge. It plugs directly into your computer via USB without the need for a USB cable so it provides a very convenient way of transferring audio files from your computer to your mp3 player. You can’t get any simpler and easier than that. As for the sound conduction through your cheekbones, it is a relatively high quality experience. Audiophiles may not find it a great mp3 player in terms of sound, but for casual listeners and music lovers, the sound conduction through bone is a perfectly effective way of listening to music under water. Of course, volume and quality can be affected by all the splashing the can occur when you are under water, so that is one thing you need to keep in mind. It is not always smooth sailing with this device.
