Converting Non-MP4 Videos
SanDisk realizes that not all of your pre-existing videos are already in the correct format. For instance, videos that you purchase from online retailers might come in MOV, WMV, FLV or AVI files, not MP4. If this is the case, you need to convert those videos using the Sansa Media Converter software.
This software is a free download available from Sansa’s website. It actually comes bundled with the Sansa Firmware Updater. Once installed, you can access it from the Start menu on your computer. Just select “Programs," “Sandisk," “Sansa Updater," “Sansa Media Converter" and you’re good to go.
Once you open the program, click the “Add Media" button, browse for your files, import them into the software and select the “Convert" button. As long as your Sansa Fuze is plugged in, the software will immediately transfer them without any further action on your part.
The Sansa Media Converter supports many video file formats, including ASF, DAT, AVI, QT, WMV, DVR-MS, and videos with the DivX codec. It also converts photos into the proper format for the Sansa Fuze in addition to videos.
