Copy Music from a CD to Coby MP3 Player
You can also add your favorite CDs to a Coby MP3 player using Windows Media Player. Open Windows Media Player and then insert the CD into your computer’s CD/DVD drive. Click the Rip tab and the songs on the CD will be listed on the screen.
If there are songs that you do not want to put on the Coby device, uncheck the check box next to the song. Click the arrow below the Library tab and click More Options. Click the Rip Music tab, and choose MP3 in the Rip Settings section. Click OK to save the changes, and to close the More Options dialog box.
Click Rip Music and select Keep my current format settings. The songs from the CD will now be transferred to your computer.
Connect the Coby device to your computer via the USB cable. Plug one end of the cable into the Coby device, and the other into a free USB port on the computer. If you have a Coby stick MP3 player, plug it directly into a USB port on the computer.
Your computer will recognize the Coby device and an Autoplay dialog box opens. Click Open folders to view files, and a new window opens that shows the files on the Coby MP3 player.
Click the Library tab in Windows Media Player. The music from the CD will be listed here. To select all songs, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click each song. Drag the songs to the Coby MP3 player folder. The songs will now transfer to the Coby device. This may take a few minutes, depending upon how many songs there are on the CD and the length of them.
You can disconnect your Coby device when the process is finished by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the task bar.
