    The Products

Only the TV sets that are full 1080p resolution capable are considered here and they have received 4 or more in ratings at various reviews. Pure display panels are not considered. The products must have at least some kind of a TV tuner. The products usually have an ATSC tuner included. What that means is that you are able to receive local terrestrial HDTV transmissions if available. Many products would claim a NTSC tuner but they are simply meaningless since analog TV will soon be gone. The following products are listed in no particular order of ranking. All the three products are at a performance level that to differentiate among them will be on very fine points and quite often could be subjective. One should make a final decision after actually reviewing all of the top ones first. You should try one of your favorite movies that you have viewed before in your older TV so you are aware of the quality and mental comparison will be easier. In fact, you should try and view all the product candidates with the DVD played through the same DVD player. At least the same video source, if possible should be used for a fair comparison.
