If you want to improve the look of your photo, then you may want to add a border or frame to it. These help to focus the attention on the subject of your photo and tell more of the story. You can think of it as digital scrapbooking.

But, if you are not technically savvy, it can be difficult to create your own frames. Plus, you have to sit there and think about the type of design that you want to use and then try to design the needed elements. There are, however, free digital photo frames available for you.

One website where you can download free digital photo frames is HP Creative Studio for Home. The HP Creative Studio allows you to create a variety of designs for photos, marketing materials, posters and even iron-ons for clothing.

While many free sites tend to only provide you with substandard options, the photo frames and borders offered by this website are first class. And, it’s really easy to start to use one of the templates. First of all, pull up the website, and click on Project Types. Then, scroll down to Photo Frames and Borders.

    How to Use This Site

When the page comes up, check the Free option on Filter by checkbox. Then, you can manually scroll through the available frames. Or, you can sort them by Type by using the dropdown box at the top.

To start using a frame, select it. This will pull up the editing screen. Drag and drop you photo onto the frame. Here, you can choose the size of the frame that you would like to use and change the layout to either horizontal or vertical. In this window, you can also zoom into or out of your photo to see how it looks in the frame when blown up.

Next, import your photos. You can either import your photos from your computer or from certain photo sharing sites, including Snapfish.

Once you add your photos, select the Preview and print button at the top. This will take you to the print button. Before you print your photo, you must set the size preferences to borderless and the orientation to landscape. You should also print your photo at the best print quality to ensure that it captures all the colors and that the resolution matches the actual photo. Then, just print it.
