Hamlin Robinson School is an accredited educational institution designed to meet the learning needs of 1st – 8th grade students who have dyslexia and other language disabilities. As an independent, not-for-profit school accredited by the state of Washington, Hamlin offers specific services for specific students. The school has a full comprehensive curriculum and support services that provide reading, writing and spelling instruction as an integral part of the academic curriculum. In addition to language and speech services, Hamlin Robinson School provides tutorial support along with an after school program.

The specific focus for Hamlin instructors is to address the student’s dyslexia learning disability by constructing a smaller learning environment of smaller classes and individualized learning instruction. The instructional focus is on early identification of the learning disability for early intervention and remediation. The initial screening for students will identify specific reading, writing and math disabilities as evidenced in academic performance and student work.     Hamlin also offers an adult education program that works with adults on literacy and reading skills. By offering evening classes to increase adult literacy, Hamlin is educating a whole society in the importance of early identification of students with dyslexia, language and learning disabilities in the classroom.
