Teachers have several students so they don't want to get anything too expensive, but they do want to get some gifts that will be well received by the students. Learn some practical gift giving ideas for your students.

1. School Supplies: School supplies usually need to be replenished by the time the Christmas season comes around. You may want to purchase a little basket for each student and place a pencil, notebook, set of crayons, eraser, and pair of scissors inside. Wrap the supplies in cellophane and decorate with a bow. To personalize this gift for each student, write a note to each child inside of the notebook.

2. Stocking of Candy: Student's love candy and Christmas comes with plenty of it. Purchase small stockings and stuff them with candy canes, chocolate Santas, jelly beans, and chewing gum. Decorate the front of each stocking with the child's name. You can do this by spelling out the name with glue and sprinkling glitter all over the name.

3. Personalized Christmas Ornament: Buy an inexpensive Christmas ornament for each student and use a paint pen to write the student's name on it. Round bulbs will suit well. You can also add the school year or the school grade. Let the paint dry and wrap the bulb. Pass them out to the students at the class Christmas party.

4. Personalized Pencils: You can use a website such as Write On Pencils to create and order personalized pencils for your class. Each student will love having a set of personalized pencils. This also prevents anyone else from using the student's personalized pencil. As the pencils are clearly marked, everyone will know who they belong to.

5. McDonald's Gift Certificate: Give each student a gift certificate for a Happy Meal. They cost between $3-$5, depending on the area of the country that you live in. You will need one gift certificate per student. Kids love McDonald's, which is why it is deemed, "the happiest place on earth." The McDonald's gift certificates can even be purchased with a Christmas symbol on them.
