This document contains 10 examples of Calculus limit problems. Three types of limits are shown: limits that involve direct substitution, limits that need simplication and limits that do not exist. This is to accompany an article in study guides called How to Solve Calculus Limit Problems. Specific equations using special symbols written with an equation writer help to display the problems as seen in Calculus textbooks. Hopefully it clarifys how to solve the limits.

Limits
The answer will result in 0.
If given your question, follow the same method as for limits which result in 0/0. You factor the t^3 from the numerator and t^2 from the denominator. This would result in t^3(2t^3-3t-7)/t^2(t^3-5t+15). Then cancel t^2 in the numerator and denominator to be left with t, in the numerator.
When you substitute 0 for the t in the numerator, it will result in 0. 0(2(0)^3-3(0)-7) = 0(-7) = 0
0 over any result in the denominator, is equal to 0.

Limits
I am very appreciative of the sample questions and answers since I am in the process of studying for my end of semester exams next week.

I will like to ask a question on limits. If I am given a question as lim (2t^6-3t^4-7t^3)/t^5-5t^3+15t^2
t-0
Will the answer automatically be 0?
