Bright Hub is a diverse community of intelligent and engaged members who discuss their ideas and opinions about many subjects. We expect there to be differences of opinion, heated debate, and maybe even a hurt feeling or two. But we also expect a certain civility and maturity that will only help to strengthen our collective voice.

The following membership pledge provides the foundation for how Bright Hub members sustain and foster this spirit of community.

As a member of Bright Hub I will:

1. Respect other members and treat them fairly.. I will not slander, libel or defame other members. I will be open to giving and receiving constructive criticism.
2. Always represent myself honestly. Pen names are allowed, however, I will not impersonate others.
3. Recognize that a difference of opinion drives debate and diversity. I may disagree but I will not personalize our differences.
4. Strengthen and contribute to the overall good of the community by my participation on Bright Hub. I will keep my comments within the context of the products and I will not engage in comment spamming. I will be constructive at all times and I will refer negative conduct to community@brighthub.com.
5. Abide by Fair Use guidelines when publishing and posting on Bright Hub. I will not publish articles, comments or images belonging to others without permission and attribution. When in doubt, I will refer to http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html.
6. I will not contribute content that is overtly commercial. Please see Bright Hub's definition of commercial content in the Terms of Service.
7. I will avoid profane or vulgar language.
8. Review and follow Bright Hub's complete policies and Terms of Service. When in doubt, I will review the Terms of Service, and always know I can contact community@brighthub.com for clarification.
