    In Microsoft vs Apple: The Battle Heats Up, John Lister says, "In the 2008 study, Apple rated 4.1 out of 10, while Microsoft scored just 2.2."

    Comparing Apple to MS is, well, akin to comparing apples to oranges. Given that Microsoft do not make computers, it would be more meaninful to compare Apple to other manufacturers such as HP, Dell, Toshiba, Acer and Sony. Interestingly enough, all of these companies scored higher than Apple in Greenpeace's Guide to Green Electronics.

    Is Apple More Environmentally Friendly Than Other Tech Companies? Consumers Think So.
