Does anyone know of a reminder / timer gadget?

In my reply to Michele's post on Internet Addiction, I suggested that efficient Internet users need a reminder to get up and move around occasionally.

I think that many computer users would appreciate a handy desktop application: one that would remind you to get up from your computer and move around every hour or so.  As long as I'm designing dream applications, I'd also like this reminder to act as a timer too, since I can't hear the stove timer from my computer desk.  Not only would I have fewer backaches and less eyestrain, I'd have more food cooked for the right amount of  time, instead of drying out or burning.  My family would really appreciate that application too. :)

Does anyone know of an application which acts as a reminder which could be set to go off hourly?  I've seen alarm clocks, but they aren't designed to go off regularly throughout the day.  I tried using my Outlook calendar back when I had Outlook, but that blocked out every hour, so everyone who tried to coordinate with my schedule found my time completely filled, and I had trouble persuading the calendar to accept other appointments.  It also didn't really want to set up an appointment to remind me to check the stove 32 minutes later, starting at 4:21.

If you know of an application that might work, go ahead and post the information here.  If we get a number of recommendations, I'll be happy to try them out and write an article reviewing them.

I was thinking about this note today when I ran across this application: Egg Timer Plus. I'm not sure how well it works, but it certainly looks lightweight, has a free trial, and is only $5 (with free lifetime upgrades) if you decide you like it.
