Password Safe is the answer to all your problems. Now, you don’t need to make a note of your passwords or login credentials. With Password Safe, you can store all your passwords at one place. The best part is that you can even secure your password database with a password. So, now you need to remember just one password i.e. for your Password Safe password database. Password Safe is an excellent application for users who need to remember several different passwords.
The application’s interface is quite simple and user friendly. The first time you run the application, you should create a new database by clicking the New Database option. Choose a name for the password database and the location where you want to store the password. Once you select the location, you will be asked to enter a safe combination for the database. Enter a unique password that contains both numbers and mixed case characters and verify it again.
To make it difficult for key loggers to track the keys you press on your keyboard, it has a virtual keyboard that you can operate with the help of a mouse to enter a password for the database.
Adding passwords
After you have created a database, you will be taken to the home page of the database. To add a new password entry into the database, click Edit Menu and select Add Group. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + A keys. Fill all the necessary details. Refer to the image gallery for more info on how to enter the details. After you have all the details, click the OK button to continue.
A new group will be created, and you can find the password entry along with the username in the group. In this manner, you can create several passwords and save them either in one group or create separate groups according to your requirement.
Deleting Passwords
You can either set the password to expire on a certain date, at the time of creation of the password, or if you want to explicitly delete a password entry, browse to the entry, right click on it and select Delete entry. The entry will be removed from the password database.
The application is very easy to handle, and you can store thousands of passwords in the database without worrying about remembering each of them.
