SoftPerfect performed perfectly when tried without using the computer or flashdrive. During a second test, I rebooted and used the computer by opening Internet Explorer and Firefox. SoftPerfect only found four of the five deleted files on the harddrive.
SoftPerfect performed flawlessly when tested against a flashdrive and SD Card. All of the files were found even though I had used the devices.
When tested on Windows XP, I found all of the files under both conditions.
