Here are the details of a cool digital art contest that is being coordinated by Macworld Expo.

There's a cool new contest for digital artists who use Macs, being organized by the Macworld Expo folks. If you've used a Mac to create or enhance a digital art work, dont miss your chance to enter in this contest and possibly have your work displayed at the huge Macworld conference in San Francisco and in the Digital Art Gallery section of the Macworld Conference & Expo website.

From the official communication about the contest:

Digital artists of all backgrounds are invited to submit original works of art that have been created or enhanced using Mac hardware or software tools. Submitted works will be considered for the opportunity to be selected as one of 30 final images that will be displayed to thousands of Macworld attendees. Selected images will also be presented in the Digital Art Gallery section of the Macworld Conference & Expo website. Macworld Conference & Expo is scheduled to take place January 5-9, 2009, at San Francisco's Moscone Center.

All Digital Art Gallery submissions will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of industry luminaries including: Rudolf Frieling, Media Arts Curator at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Steve Wozniak, Apple co-founder; Pop artist icon Peter Max; and Nathan Moroney, Principal Scientist, HP Labs. This group will determine the top 30 works of art to be showcased during the event. As the official sponsor of the Digital Art Gallery, HP will serve as the exclusive printer for all images displayed on-site.

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to enter. The deadline for entries is October 31, so time is of the essence! If you'd like your creative work to be judged by Woz and Peter Max, and have the opportunity to have it displayed for the throngs at Macworld, head over to the contest URL now!
